Seasonal Vote by Mail Staff - Dade City

Employment Period: July 6, 2026 – November 20, 2026
Pay Rate: $17/hr
Job Description: 
  • Processes vote-by-mail ballot requests – including in-person, written, telephonic, and electronic requests
  • Assists with preparing voted ballots for secure transportation to/from main office
  • Assists with maintaining the integrity of vote-by-mail file including addressing requirements
  • Assists with all aspects of vote-by-mail ballot canvassing to include reconciliation, preparation,  and supplies required for canvassing
  • Assists with notifying voters of referred ballots and the curing process
  • Assists with Supervised Voting
  • Assists with preparing vote-by-mail materials for storage after each election 
  • Other responsibilities may include...
    • Performs data entry tasks assigned by the director or designated supervisor
    • Assists in the processing and editing procedures of voter registration as needed
    • Assists with candidate/initiative petitions as needed
    • Assists with vote-by-mail processes as needed
    • Assists with Early Voting processes as needed
    • Assists in answering the telephone and front counter reception as needed
    • Performs related work and other duties as required
Qualifications: Graduation from an accredited high school or possession of an acceptable equivalency diploma, supplemented by keyboarding proficiency. A comparable amount of training or experience may be substituted for the minimum qualifications.
Mandatory Requirements: 
  • Must have a current Florida Driver License. 
  • Must be a registered voter in the state of Florida
  • Able and available to work extended hours and weekend hours as needed, with little or no advance notice
Location: Elections Service Center, 1st Floor, 38283 McDonald St, Dade City, Florida
Commitment: Regular work hours are 8:30 – 5:00. You will be asked to work occasional weekends and overtime with little notice. Your commitment also includes extended hours on Election Days (August 18th and November 3rd).
